On your way to the Oakhurst Arts & Music Festival this coming Saturday, stop by McKoy Park and have your child’s car seat checked by Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians courtesy of the Decatur Fire Department. Trained firefighters will be on hand to make sure that your child’s seat is installed safely and alert you to any recalls. The event will take place at McKoy Park from 10 am until 1 pm on Saturday, October 9th.

Did you know that car seats should be carefully installed for each trip every day? Not having your child in their seat properly is a danger to your child. Learn how to keep your child safe.

The City of Decatur Fire Department will hold the second of three scheduled Car Seat Events this coming Saturday, May 22 from 3 until 6 pm. Stop by the Callaway lot at the corner of Commerce and Trinity Place to have a trained car seat technician check your child’s car seat to make sure it is installed correctly.  Did you know that once a car seat has been in an accident it should be replaced?
